TruthAboutHealthCareReform.org has been the result of a collaborative effort between numerous people of many different backgrounds: students, doctors, authors, as well as policy and non-profit professionals. Initially, we found it extremely challenging to understand the current state of the our health care system, as well as the proposed reforms.
We found that the overwhelming amount of information, complex language, and the political spin all stood in the way of a true understanding. We, as the founders of this website, firmly believe that with clearly presented, objective facts about the US health care system and its proposed reforms, everyone is capable of deciding where they stand in the ongoing health care debate.
Therefore, we decided to create TruthAboutHealthCareReform.org in order to provide the public with a simple (but not simplistic), comprehensive overview of the US health care system and the proposed reforms, free from academic debate, rhetoric, and partisan politics. In order to avoid any undue influence, we, as the founders, have funded this website ourselves and have made a commitment not to accept any sponsorships or contributions – corporate, public, or otherwise – for developing and maintaining this website.
